I recently returned from my first workshop/photo tour in Iceland in conjunction with the great people at Focus on Nature. When most people think of Iceland, they think of an amazing natural geological, geographical, geothermal landscape. And while we not only explored those aspects of this phenomenal country, we also took advantage of photographing the “local color”… the people, the culture, the architecture. All of which are key elements in illustrating “a sense of place”. Now, I’m already looking forward to and planning for next year. Hope to see you there!
Attached is a mini slide show of the trip. Click here to view.
WOW WOW WOW! So beautiful… Over the years I have seen a lot of images come out of Iceland, but you have brought your eye to it in a new way that conveys a new feeling of design in the geography, and above all that “sense of place”.
Thank you for sharing these images… my only criticism is that the presentation is too small and jaggy!!
The chemistry of your workshop and the time we had together from A-Z was outer worldly. We had a blast and we managed to get a nice tune playing on the weather.
Thanks pal.
Presentation is great now! I can blow it up full screen in HD and it looks really good.
Thank you!
Oh my Arthur! So fabulous. What a joyful varied representation of Iceland. One question, did you pose that herd of horses in such wonderful symmetry? Thanks for posting your trip….incentive for “the next one.”
Gorgeous images, Sensei Don Arturo. I love what you see…
