My love affair with Portugal began the first time I came there in 1971 after I had graduated from college. Since then, I have had the great pleasure of returning in 2000 when my friend, the talented Portuguese photographer, Paulo Roberto invited me to have a major retrospective at the magnificent Palacio Foz, followed by a photo tour in 2005 and a workshop with speaking engagements in 2010. Those experiences introduced me to so many wonderful friends and fellow photographers there that I continued to stay in touch with. And now, I look forward to the next several weeks where I will be traveling throughout this magical country again with 2 new groups of photographers and my co-leader Keron Psillas.
